Commissioned by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), the Al-Kahafah PV project involves the construction of a new 380/132kV BSP (substation) #9099 along with associated overhead transmission lines (OHTLs) in Kahafa. With a total value of 554,000,000 SAR, the project began in October 2022 and is scheduled for completion in January 2025. As part of the Kingdom’s renewable energy initiatives, the project will integrate solar power into the national grid, contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 goals of diversifying energy sources and promoting sustainability.
